A Warm Welcome to San Diego for the Sailors on the USS America!

Today marked the arrival of the USS America, the US Navy’s newest ship, into the San Diego Harbor. The sailors of this brand new ship will call San Diego their home port!

The Navy performed its final assembly and safety checks for the America in the Gulf of Mexico. For the past 6 months it has been making its way around the tip of South America and North to San Diego.

Also over the past 6 months, customers who were flown out to meet the ship at its various port calls trickled in to store their vehicles. Since the America came into port today, all of the cars went out. Above is a shot of a few of the vehicles that left our care this afternoon.

While each customer paid an equitable sum to store his/her vehicle it was really an honor and a privilege to take care of them.
